Lisa Wisowaty
Lisa is a dedicated and compassionate attorney focused on helping individuals and families navigate some of life’s most personal legal challenges. She believes strongly in the value of one-on-one connections, taking the time to truly listen to her clients’ concerns, goals, and family dynamics. Her practice concentrates on probate, guardianship, and estate planning. She strives to make each client feel supported and informed throughout the process, offering clear guidance and practical solutions tailored to their unique circumstances.
She earned her Juris Doctor from Northern Illinois University College of Law in 2018, where she developed her interest in serving clients with sensitivity and respect. Before law school, she graduated from the University of Illinois at Springfield in 2012. During her undergraduate studies, she spent a formative semester abroad in Saitama, Japan, participating in an immersive Japanese language program. Her time there allowed her to study alongside local students, navigate daily life in a new cultural setting, and deepen her appreciation for international perspectives. Whether practicing conversation with host families or climbing Mt. Fuji, the experience strengthened her communication skills, adaptability, and respect for diverse backgrounds—qualities she carries into her legal practice today.
Outside of her legal practice, Lisa is an avid traveler with a passion for experiencing new cultures and perspectives. Whether exploring a new country or discovering hidden gems closer to home, she values the way travel broadens her understanding of people and their stories—something that carries into her work with clients. She also loves to cook and is always experimenting with new recipes, especially those inspired by the cuisines she encounters on her travels. A self-described food enthusiast, she enjoys seeking out unique restaurants, local markets, and flavors she hasn’t tried before. At home, she spends much of her downtime with her energetic Husky, who keeps her active and brings plenty of joy and humor to her daily life.
